Former Niehaus Fellow Rachel Wellhausen wins Best Book Award

At the November 2018 International Political Economy Society (IPES) conference hosted by MIT’s Department of Political Science, Rachel L Wellhausen, Associate Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin and former Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University won the Best Book Award (2015-2017) for her book The Shield of Nationality: When Governments Break Contracts with Foreign Firms (Cambridge University Press 2015). In The Shield of Nationality, Rachel Wellhausen introduces foreign-firm nationality as a key determinant of firms' responses to government breaches of contract.
